Hi! We’re Kim & Des—the best friends behind Heartwood Events.

 

Our story started 17 years ago with a friendship that quickly became family. Today, we’re both happily married, each have two amazing kids, and our daughters have been best friends since the day they were born. 

 

Over the last 10 years, we’ve worked hard to build a business we’re incredibly proud of. What started with a love for weddings has grown into a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. From coordinating weddings to planning corporate events, we love bringing every vision to life and making sure our clients can truly enjoy their special day.

 

One of our favorite parts of this job? We get to travel to beautiful venues all over Florida, meet incredible couples and vendors, and be a part of some of life’s biggest moments.

 

When we’re not working weddings, you’ll usually find us cheering from the sidelines at dance competitions and soccer games, spending time with our families, or escaping to the mountains—our favorite place to recharge.

 

Our families have been our biggest supporters through every late night, early morning, and crazy wedding weekend, and we couldn’t be more grateful for them.
